Interns of the Business Design & Optimization Group are exceptional undergraduate and graduate students with a passion for project management and consulting. Each year, a new cohort of students joins the team and helps to make a positive impact on the university and its constituents.
Current Interns

Sarah Liang
Program: Accounting and Operations & Analytics
Undergraduate Lead Intern
Sarah is a junior in the MSB from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, majoring in Accounting and OPAN and minoring in Spanish. On campus, she is a project manager for Hoyalytics and a Resident Assistant. She also enjoys playing badminton on Georgetown’s club team and is a leader for ESCAPE, a first-year retreat program. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in consulting or analytics. In her free time, Sarah loves to bike, edit videos, plan food crawls, and go on night drives.

Joe Robinson
Program: Finance & Art History
Undergraduate Lead Intern
Joe is a sophomore in the MSB from Massachusetts, studying finance and art history. On campus, he is a loan officer for the Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union, the largest entirely student-run credit union in the United States. He also underwrites loans for the Hilltop Microfinance Initiative, which provides affordable capital to small businesses excluded from the commercial lending system. In his free time, Joe enjoys playing golf, kayaking, and spending time with friends.

Shrusti Mantri
Program: MBA
MBA Intern
Shrusti is a second-year MBA student at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (MSB) from Mumbai, India. Prior to business school, she worked across consulting, analytics, and growth strategy roles, where she developed a passion for tackling complex challenges and turning ideas into action. At MSB, she serves as Co-President of the South Asian Business Alliance (SABA) and Vice President of Marketing Day for the Marketing Club, helping create opportunities for students to connect, learn, and build community. Through BDOG, Shrusti is excited to apply her problem-solving skills to projects that strengthen Georgetown’s operations and create meaningful impact across the university. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and reading.

Van Nguyen
Program: Applied Intelligence
Data Intern
Van is a graduate student at SCS, originally from Vietnam, with a background spanning media production and product management. Combining creative storytelling with analytical problem-solving, she is passionate about building experiences and systems that connect people, ideas, and communities in meaningful ways.
At BDOG, Van looks forward to contributing to projects that blend strategy, innovation, and collaboration while continuing to develop her consulting and product skills. Outside of work, she enjoys running, swimming, and discovering new artists on Spotify.

Lu Huynh
Program: Health Informatics and Data Science
Data Intern
Lu is an M.S. candidate in Health Informatics and Data Science. Originally born in Boston, he grew up in the D.C. area and chose Georgetown for its academic rigor, career placement, and proximity to home. He also has professional experience as a videographer, editor, and producer, and is looking to expand his portfolio while pursuing his graduate studies. On the weekends, he can be found receiving brain damage from some of the best fighters in the country. He holds a B.S. in biology from the College of William and Mary.

Felix Dosmond
Program: Philosophy & Government
Undergraduate Intern
Felix is a junior in the College from Greenwich, Connecticut, double-majoring in Philosophy and Government. Outside of the classroom, he is involved in Innovo Consulting and The Stratagem Initiative, an international affairs club. He enjoys collaborating with peers in these extracurricular groups and BDOG. In his free time, Felix likes running and has finished the Marine Corps Marathon in DC twice.

Olivia Zhang
Program: Finance & Management
Undergraduate Intern
Olivia is a sophomore in the McDonough School of Business from Michigan, majoring in Finance and Management. On campus, she is involved with The Hoya, Georgetown’s student newspaper of record, Smart Women Securities, an intercollegiate organization that empowers undergraduate women interested in finance, and Georgetown Collegiate Investors. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, skiing, photography, thrifting, and exploring new food spots.

Lucia Leung
Program: Economics
Undergraduate Intern
Lucia is a sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences from Edison, New Jersey, majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics. On campus, she is a Project Manager for Hoyalytics, a data analytics consulting club, and a Risk Analyst for the Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union, the largest entirely student-run credit union in the country. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading, and playing pickleball with friends.

Aditya Shetty
Program: Global Business
Undergraduate Intern
Aditya is a sophomore in the SFS from Dallas, Texas, majoring in global business and minoring in global development. On campus, he is a project manager for Georgetown Global Consulting and competes for the McDonough Global Case Team. He also enjoys participating in South Asian dance through Georgetown Rangila. In his free time, Aditya enjoys camping, watching mixed martial arts, and playing Nintendo games.
